Construction teams have officially broken ground on a major infrastructure development designed to safeguard the electricity backbone of Central Queensland. The comprehensive project involves upgrading essential sections of the 132kV transmission network, a vital regional corridor that distributes power across diverse industrial zones and local communities. By replacing ageing infrastructure with modern, high-capacity components, this timely project represents a critical step forward in fortifying the statewide grid against severe weather and meeting rising electricity demands.

Victoria’s transition toward a more resilient power network has taken a significant stride forward with the federal environmental clearance of the Murchs Corner battery energy storage system.
